The Firewire Surfboards Double Agent Board Review

The Double Agent is aimed at surfers with a wide range of abilities from low level intermediate to high level performer. The Double Agent combines low rocker with a thinned down tail whilst maintaining the volume under the chest to keep your wave count up. These features combined with a full length double barrell concave gives the board a very sensitive feel when surfing more on the front foot. You can really push the Double Agent from rail to rail because of the thinned down rails through the back half of the board and the spine the board has a s a result of the concaves. Dan Mann was looking to combine the speed and performance of the double barrell concave used through the tail of boards like the Sweet Potato and the great perfromance turns that skimboards pull off with really thin boards, the result is the Double Agent. This board fits in the Firewire range above the Potato range of boards and if you love those boards but want more performance and to be able to push your turns harder in knee to shoulder high surf then have a good look at the Double Agent. Its limited in bigger surf throught template shape but that knifey tail will certainly perfrom in smaller conditions. A perfromance groveller might be one way of looking at this board.
