Cord Ark Surfboard - Custom

1 reviews

The Ark is Cord's more performance orientated twin, it still goes in everyday surf but loves bigger, punchier waves too. The Ark has been finely tuned and extensively tested over the last few years by shaper Markie Lascelles and Aussie hell man Noah Lane, you'll have seen the footage of the pair of them charging in Ireland no doubt.

Description

The Ark goes really well in anything from 3 to 6ft waves, a twinny setup with 4 channels running through a pin tail. This set up maximises speed and turning ability to give this board a great feel surfing off the tail and rapid rail to rail transfers. The board cleverly hides volume and puts it where you need it, under the chest to really assist with wave catching and early wave entry. It fits in the pocket of the steepest waves, and has so much speed but all the control and drive you want in a board. It goes really well in windy waves and goes equally well on a point as it does on a hollow slab, one hell of an allrounder! The design is super clever the rocker through the tail is pretty flat to help generate and carry speed but the channels actually give the same effect as having more rocker which loosens the board up allowing it to turn. The channels act to give the board grip as well, so you get a really positive feel through your turns.

THE ARK HAS IT ALL
Only ridden the 6’4 a handful of times but it’s definitely going to be a favourite. Wanted a board for bigger days but also something that could glide over flat crappy waves. I’ve been riding with the son of cobra twins which were more of an upright twin working perfect for me. Surprised how much grip even on my backhand the Ark had. Thanks Boardshop and Markie for a quality board.
