Description

The Futures 3/2 Vector Tri Fin set in the excellent Alpha construction.

The 3/2 Vector fin features a unique twisted foil design that allows the fin to be both an excellent speed generator in smaller waves but also super reliable and grippy in bigger faster waves. We've used these fins in a variety of boards and conditions and they definitely give a different feel, more responsive without being over powering like some more performance focused fins, we like them.

This unique Vector foil features a concave surface on the inside of the front fins which gives a bigger surface area what this means in reality is that more lift is generated which in turn means more speed and release. The Scimitar tip tightens the turning arc by reducing the fins length and enhancing the feeling of release. The 3/2 complements the Vector with an extra 3 degrees of cant and 2 degrees of toe, introducing a twist into the foil for improved planning angles in sharp turns, creating lift and hold deeper into the maneuver, so basically more speed out of your turns.

Constructed with Infused carbon fibre which is lighter and stronger than fibreglass, and then infused with air! Futures hooked up with 3M, and were able to develop a totally unique composite material with air pockets thereby reducing weight without sacrificing any structural strength.

Different surface geometries were tested behind a jet-ski, which resulted in a more predictable and efficient flow and a significant reduction in "fin hum."

With the added durability and strength of carbon fibre, Futures were able to go back to the drawing board and set about restructuring the profile geometry of the Alpha line. The strength of the fibres allowed them to modify the flex pattern by reducing the material at the tip for more spring and adding a little at the base for more drive.

The Alpha series of fins are a very reliable option for pretty much all conditions and all levels of surfer.
