Description

A Phantom with more foam. The XL Version of the Pyzel Phantom is a step-down version of the popular Ghost model but is a lot more than this too, designed for average wave conditions. It features added foam where needed, a similar rocker, and increased single concave for speed and flow. The wider nose and tail create a parallel outline and fuller rails for buoyancy and sensitivity.

Brilliant board!
Bought this 10 weeks ago from Boardshop.. it’s been making a mockery of me ever since - just sat in the board rack,. Today however, I got to use it at Putsborough in 4-7ft clean decent waves and it is phenomenal and was well worth the wait! I weigh 93kg and got the 6’4- could have prob gone smaller but it picked up everything and absolutely ripped, it’s very nimble and pivots very easily(also pretty forgiving I reckon). I got 4 decent waves within the first 9 mins of being in the water and stayed in for 4.5hours - I just didn’t wanna get out and off the board! So stoked with it- and as usual- also excellent service from Ian.

Hi Matt, bit of feedback - nipped to Portugal with the phantom for a few days of lefts. Surprised at paddle speed on it - the board moves; and thought the thinned out squash tail gave loads of back foot control. Lots more back foot sensitivity than the merricks I’ve had before actually

I've only surfed this board twice so far, in pretty marginal conditions, but it feels great.
It paddles very well and glides into waves, once you're up to your feet it feels really lively and fast.This board just wants to turn. Boardshop team were spot on about sizing advice!
