The RYD Everyday soft surfboard range represents incredible value for money for a surfboard loaded with features that you'd normally find in far more expensive boards. These soft surfboards or foamies as they are also known are the perfect board to get you surfing from scratch or if you are a competent surfer making the most of smaller weaker waves. They are loaded with volume (float) to make sure they paddle and catch waves easily, are stable and the best possible way to get up and riding and actually surfing!
One of the key things you need to look at when buying a foamie surfboard is the quality of the construction; when a soft surfboard flexes it loses speed this makes the board less stable and makes progressing more difficult. You'll see lots of cheap options on ebay, amazon etc, think about why they are so cheap, its basically because they are a low level construction and will flex or even snap with very little use, you get what you pay for!
RYD foamies are constructed with the best possible materials, we surfed them for a year before we decided to start selling them just to make sure they were up to scratch, they are brilliant! Constructed from tough IXPE foam on the deck, a 4mm HDPE slick base, and two wooden stringers running the length of the board these boards keep their shape brilliantly and minimise flex, the easiest way to get you going on your surfing journey. Unlike any other boards at this level they even feature a carry handle on the base of the board to ease transport to and from the beach.
