Ladies and gents, longboard greatness has been achieved. Here is the Siren Sea Maiden Longboard. This is not just a piece of artwork to be admired, this is a surfboard that caters for almost anyone who is searching for that glorious gliding feel when trimming on a longboard and dancing up and down the board.
Following the same mantra as the other Siren Surfboard models, the Sea Maiden, has been designed to cater for female surfers (but not only female surfers). Extra time and research have been dedicated to ensuring the distribution and position of the foam in the board gives the rider a board that is easier to handle in and out of the water but that still keeps all the outstanding qualities that a world class longboard should have. Siren surfboards is trying to break the mould whereby female surfers have to go for a custom version of a male designed board in order to get the design dynamics they need. These Siren surfboards are hand finished to a very high standard, everything from the fin placement to the spray is done to the factories exacting standards.
Breaking down the Siren Sea Maiden Longboard, the outline gives you a longboard that has a good full nose, which funnels all the way back to a pulled in tail. This gives the rider a lot of control in all types of wave condition. The control from the tail gives you confidence that you can shuffle all the way to the nose and back. If you want to turn the board, sit on your back foot and the rails will engage and turn, or if you want to get stylish and make your way to pull off some cheater 5’s or even get all 10 toes off the ten you can! The outline and profile of this surfboard allows the board to be very stable, with a giant sweet spot, so the board is extremely user friendly. This paired with the rail profile allows you to manoeuvre the board with ease and trim along the waves for as long as possible.
Siren Surfboard’s Sea Maiden is a classic longboard shape that has had modern tweaks to cater for a wider audience, but most of all is incredibly fun to surf. A Longboard of this design will work in small, knee high summer waves all the way through to big, open faced solid winter waves too.
The Sea Maiden is set up with a 2+1 set up, which adds an element of stability to the board as well. If you pair the board with a 9” Centre Fin and a medium set of side fins, this will be the perfect set up!
Siren Surfboard’s Sea Maiden like all Siren boards is UK designed and built, they are hand crafted, hand finished and no finishing of the boards takes place anywhere else but the South Coast Board Co. shaping facility. The glassing is 6+4/6oz so you not only get the finish and looks of a dream board, but the glassing will hold up to whatever you throw at it in your day to day surfing.
