Description

The Surfworx Banshee Hybrid soft surfboard package comes with the board, fins and leash plus a great quality padded board bag and a bar of wax. This brilliant little board would make the perfect first surfboard for kids keen to advance their surfing skills.

The Banshee Hybrid is constructed with a High Density Closed Cell foam Core which means the boards are nice and lightweight, and should you be unlucky enough to damage the outer skin the board won't soak up water, become waterlogged and un-surfable. Twin resin coated, laminated wooden stringers run the length of the board helping it maintain its shape and perform like a good quality "hard" surfboard. The slick bottom has the 'optical' print which looks stunning. The High Density deck skin is very durable and will keep the Banshee Hybrid performing for years.

The Surfworx Banshee Hybrid has a great 3-fin system which is a real step-up from the normal 'push through the deck' soft fins normally supplied on foamies. This fin system is also compatible with FCS twin tab fins so you can upgrade or utilize your own fins should you wish.

The Banshee Hybrid would make the perfrect first surfboard for kids and would also work for a lightweight competent adult looking for a fun softboard.

The Banshee Hybrid is the perfect shape, wide in the nose and tail with a nice flat rocker so perfect for catching plenty of waves and nice and stable once you're up and riding.

Really happy with this board
After some great email advice from Ian at Boardshop I went for this board over a slightly longer Mini Mal, for my 9 and 7 year olds, with the idea that once they get going it may have a bit more manoeuvrability. At first use today in some lovely 1-2 ft waves it was fantastic. Both children's first time ever on a surfboard. Only needed a gentle push from me to have them catching just about everything. Both had a couple of great long standing up runs each and now consider themselves surfers. The bug has definitely been caught. Thanks Ian

Brilliant beginner board
Bought x2 boards for my 2 sons (11 &13). The boards look cool and funky. Quality so far appears excellent, really easy to assemble. In light surf the boards are able to catch a wave, which is great to keep the kids motivated. It has certainly got them away from the x-box! Service levels from Boardshop have been excellent. I'm a 44 year old beginner and I stood up on my third attempt on this board in the white water, so it definitely catches waves easily. I shall venture out deeper as I get my balance up to scratch. Its lightweight and easy to get on with, not too big and not too small, I'm 5'10 and 11. 5 stone. Hope that helps anyone deciding, great first board.

Best Christmas Present Ever!
My 9-year old daughter got this board for Christmas ahead of a surf trip to a tropical location. It made all the difference to her as the board is light and easy for her to carry and to manoeuvre in the water and she was catching waves on day 1! Parents happy too as we feel it is much safer for her with a soft top than using her brothers' boards which she used to do. Delivery was quick, price was good and quality of board is very good.
