Description

The Surfworx Hellcat Mini Mal soft surfboard is perfectly designed and constructed to get you up and riding on your very first surf session. All the key features are in place; nice wide and forgiving outline, soft padded deck to soften those inevitable knocks, and a set of rubber safety fins to prevent injury to the rider and other surfers and swimmers. The Hellcat Mini Mal is constructed with a soft and forgiving foam deck and comes with a leash and a set of rubber safety fins to prevent injury to the rider, other surfers and swimmers.

The Hellcat Mini Mal is constructed with a High Density Closed Cell foam Core which means the boards are nice and lightweight, and should you be unlucky enough to damage the outer durable EBS deck skin the board won't soak up water, become waterlogged and un-surfable. The board has resin coated wooden stringer which helps the board maintain its shape and perform on the wave. The high density HDPE slick bottom is nice and durable and helps the board paddle fast and gives a smooth ride. The High Density deck skin is very durable and will keep the Hellcat Mini Mal performing for years to come.

The Surfworx Hellcat comes with a three fin "thruster" setup which gives great control and a nice stable and predictable ride.

This brilliant mini mal is a tried and tested shape which has proven to be the perfect platform and design to kick-off your surfing adventure. This smaller 7ft model is aimed at kids who are just starting out or intermediate, lightweight adults looking for a great value funboard for the summer.

Awesome beginner board!
Bought this as a beginner who could just about take off and stand up. Within one or two sessions on this thing I was consistently taking off, and it's stable enough to be forgiving as you get the feel for foot placement - you can shuffle about a bit on a wave and it just keeps cruising. It also seems that every surf school has a similar opinion - Croyde Bay was inundated with these boards when I last went. If you're a beginner looking to get a lot of upright wave time and progress quickly, don't even look twice! Buy!

Loving my Hellcat 7'6
I have just bought a couple of the Surfworx Hellcat 7'6 for my kids. Went out myself yesterday in some 6ft well in Cornwall, paddled out back with the locals - looked a bit out of place on my foamie but that didn't stop me cruising round around and catching a few mega green waves. Light, rigid, stable, so easy to ride - love it.

This is a perfect fun foamy that my 11 year old son and I (for reference I’m 6ft 1 70kg) can paddle into small waves easily due to its massive volume. It’s perfect for beginners and as an experienced surfer it’s fun for me too. The big advantage is that we can enjoy the board together and my son is loving catching waves on it!! It’s very easy to handle in the water and because of its soft deck I have no concerns about injury’s. Also it was delivered very quickly and packaged excellently!

Got this board for my son, he’s a slight 13 year old, 140 cm tall. We went for this one because he loved the colour and it has two wooden runners for added strength. Because it’s light, it’s good for him now. Because it’s 7ft, he’ll get a couple of years from it.
He’s used it all weekend and loves it. I also had a go and it easily coped with my 77kg of adult! I recommend the board and commend the service from Boardshop.

Great board and overall package including the transport bag and wax.
I was looking out for the board for a short while as it had been out of stock but I was sent a very prompt reminder by boardshop when they were back in. Delivery was prompt and secure, no issues at all. Having tried out the board is fantastic for beginners like me, and weighing at ~91kg allows me to get up and in the waves with ease!
