Description

The Surfworx Ribeye Mini Mal soft surfboard package comes with fins and a leash + a good quality padded boardbag and a bar of wax. This is without doubt one of the best starter surfboards available; beautifully finished with a stable and forgiving outline to get you up and riding from day one!

The Ribeye Mini Mal is constructed with a High Density Closed Cell foam Core which means the boards are nice and lightweight, and should you be unlucky enough to damage the outer skin the board won't soak up water and become waterlogged and un-surfable. Double resin coated, laminated wooden stringers run the length of the board helping it maintain its shape and perform like a good quality "hard" surfboard. The slick bottom has an integrated mesh membrane which adds durability and improved performance on the wave. The High Density deck skin is very durable and will keep the Ribeye Hybrid performing for years.

The Surfworx 8ft 0 Ribeye Mini Mal has a three fin set which is a real step-up from the normal 'push through the deck' soft fins normally supplied on foamies and this system is compatible with FCS twin tab fins so you can upgrade or utilize your own fins should you wish to experiment with different fins.

The Ribeye Mini Mal is a brilliant option for a broad range of ages and abilities, from larger kids and teens at the beginning of their surfing career to first time adults looking to kick-off their surfing adventure.

The guys at Boardshop are super helpful and friendly, they replied really fast and explained everything in detail, making buying my first board an absolute breeze! I’m a complete newbie but wanted a board to get the basics and take me through to progressing a little further and this is perfect. Within 2 sessions on this I could stand and ride the waves in to the beach so I’m buzzing. It’s smaller than the chunky ones you rent, so if you’re small like me (I’m 5’2 and quite petite) it’s great. Light and easy to carry. And I can paddle on it easily (the other boards I’ve used have been too wide and uncomfortable). I 100% recommend, love it. Thanks guys!

Review of service as I ordered at tge start of 2 weeks of the flattest sea I have seen in years.

53 year old bloke, no previous surf experience. I loved tge website with clear images, good descriptions and good review section for us buyers. Made selecting a board fairly simple. Only a minor quibble was being 85kg, many beginner boards are aimed at slimmer builds and I didn't see 'user weights' in the filters or on the preview pages so I opened and closed a few pages finding a board suitable for my mass. But no hardship there.

The board was perfectly wrapped and double boxed with clear warnings to the hauliers to treat it with respect. 5* for the packaging.

Update emails of purchase, dispatch and 'On its way' and tracking were spot on. 5*

Speed of delivery and cost to British Isles, off shore (Isle of Man) was perfect. Many companies refuse offshore or charge made up fees as if we are a different continent. 5*

Quality of product looks and feels as good as I hoped. As per the intro, the sea has been like a mirror for a week before ordering and looks set to stay like it for another week, so unable to test the board (or at least my abilities) yet.
