Description

The Torq Mod Fun surfboard 6ft 8 in classic white will work in a multitude of different conditions and will suit surfers of all levels in virtually every condition. From waist high slop to clean overhead and hollow. The versatility of the Mod Fun makes them the perfect 'Swiss army' surfboard, if you need one board to handle all the conditions where you live and travel.

Featuring a medium full nose and shallow mid-entry there is plenty of volume for smaller days and weaker waves. As the surf picks up, step back, get your foot on the gas and the board takes on a whole new persona. You’ll find a board that feels shorter than it’s length, delivering predictable handling and performance. The Mod Fun comes with a traditional Futures Tri-fin set-up.

Torq surfboards are constructed using the most up-to-date Epoxy Technology, using the latest EPS Epoxy Materials. The lightweight EPS Core is combined with Biaxial fibreglass cloth, Epoxy resin and Torq's unique Shield Skin. Constructed in the most advanced mould on the planet, creating the most perfect production every time.

This unique combination of advanced materials and high-tech construction produces a board that performs at the very highest level, offering lightweight shapes with a responsive flex (missing on some cheaper Epoxy boards) but also makes for a really durable and strong surfboard. It was my first time ordering from boardshop and I have to say everything went smooth! My fear was that the board could be damaged during delivery and it came well packaged, intact and with all the accessories. I have not test the purchased board yet but I know how it rides since I already tested it for some weeks on my last surf trip! I love it!

Perfect for a first hardboard
This board was the first hardboard I've purchased, and from the first surf out it was absolutely perfect. It was super easy to paddle out with, and catches waves like a dream. Super stable and allows you to get on more greenies consistently! This is the perfect board for someone of my build (5'8, 75kg) and ability (surfed inconsistently for around 2.5 years), and I'm stoked to surf it again as soon as possible!!

Great board for all levels
Super board that catches waves real easy. I've surfed on and off for 15 years and just wanted to get something to progress on as I'm the classic middle age weekend surfer. First impressions have been great. Paddles well, turns well and a perfect lightweight package. Its been ridden in 6 foot beach break and @ The Wavegarden and was super fun in both. Great for anyone that wants something thats not going to ding easy and provides a stable platform to progress.

Loving my first hardboard
I've been using foamies for a while and have got to the stage of regularly standing up and starting to turn on 3-4ft waves. I was looking for a first hardboard and had carried out a lot of research online but was still a bit unsure. I phoned the boardshop to discuss my options. The guy I spoke to was really helpful and took the time to run through my experience, height, weight and aspirations. After speaking with him I opted for the TORQ 7ft 6, bundle. It arrived the day after I ordered it and I am really pleased. I have had one session so far and was totally amazed at how different this board felt to a foamie, I was able to change speed and make turns on my first outing. An awesome 'fun' board!
Excuse the pun in the summary but it really is a fun board to ride! This is my first surfboard and I am super stoked with it! Having had several beginner lessons on foamies I wanted to try the next level up in terms of boards. I spoke to Matt who took a detailed description from me of my experience surfing, other board sports, fitness level and amount of time I intend to surf and he came up with the Torq Mod Fun 7'2" as the board for me. I have to say it was a spot on call! It has so much more performance than a foamie and learning to turn was so much easier on this. It felt awesome when I caught a couple of small (guessing 1.5-2ft) green waves that had a bit of drive to them. It was the best feeling! I cannot wait to get out on this board again! I highly recommend this board for anyone looking for that progression but would also highly recommend calling the shop for their personalised advice first. Thanks Boardshop!

Amazing customer service and a perfect first board

This is my first board, and it feels incredible. Not the best conditions around here in Portugal at the moment, but I know I’ll keep improving with this beauty. Roger and Ian made my customer exp really good, and the delivery was top notch. Despite the delivery fee (this is DHL, not Boardshop), I’ll probably order again once I feel ready to move towards a fish (in 2-3 years lol)
