Description

The stunning Form Flow Stik surfboard in the brilliant TST (Torsion Shock Tech) construction. The versatile Flow Stik is taking the mid-length marketplace by storm and has rocketed into our top 5 selling surfboards on reputation alone.

Just as happy cruising ankle snappers as it is carving sizeable swells, the Flow Stik is a very responsive board with a curvy outline, lower rocker and gentle vees that transition into subtle spiral concaves out through the fins for exceptional hold and forgiveness through the rail, especially at lower speeds.

This beautiful board paddles as well as it surfs and seems to levitate whether you're on your feet or digging deep to out-paddle the mob. The Flow Stik is the ultimate freesurfing machine, a greedy wave catcher that you can surf from out-back to the beach.

Alan Stokes says: "For me, the flow stick is about connectivity to the wave. Not so much up and down surfing but fluid rail to rail surfing with continuous lines. Just linking everything together in a non stop movement from start to finish of the wave. Don’t get me wrong I can fully surf it off the tail but that rail line just makes you want to grind the rails through swooping cutbacks and off the tops with continuous movement and speed. It's an awesome feeling to stay high up on the wave and just glide through turns whenever you want to wash off speed".

If you're looking for an effortless surfboard that catches everything you paddle for and can still flow from rail to rail....you've found your dream surfboard in the Flow Stick. Get it sized right and you'll become inseparable whether its 1ft or 8ft the board is unflappable.

Form's TST construction surfboards are roughly 10% lighter than a stock PU built board and deliver a 20% increase in tensile strength and a staggering 50% increase in it's resistance to compression dents etc. This kind of strength is often associated with rigid and characterless epoxy surfboards which 'chatter' on the wave; TST is nothing like that and while it is a fraction stiffer than regular PU it still has lively and responsive flex pattern that'll last for the lifespan of the board! TST is a brilliant option if you're 'heavy' on your boards and offers the perfect construction for a travel board that has to run the gauntlet of notoriously clumsy baggage handlers!

Form Surfboards is a collaboration involving 3 different parties. The guys here at Boardshop were super keen to offer a premium UK handmade surfboard brand with an emphasis on quality utilising premium quality materials. Alan 'Stokesy' Stokes (probably the most successful and well known surfer in the UK) working alongside genius British shaper Luke Hart (the man behind 4th surfboards) have teamed up to produce an incredible collection of surfboards with something for every level of surfer and any conditions.

This project is hugely exciting for all involved and we think the guys have absolutely nailed it, producing some of the coolest looking, well priced, UK hand-made and premium finish shortboards, hybrids and mid-lengths available today.

If we don't have the Form surfboard you're looking for, or the stock dims don't work for you, just give us a ring on (44) 01243 674250 or email [email protected] and we'll happily discuss a custom order for you.

The team at Boardshop are absolutely stoked to be stocking these beautiful boards and would happily consider taking your old or unwanted surfboard as a trade-in against a new Form shape.

Best fun ever
I am about to hit my 40s, 1.83mts tall and 70kg. I am an occasional surfer and manage to get out around 4 times a month, maybe 6 if I am very lucky. I've always surf mid lengths (from 6'10 to 8). For the past 12 months I had been surfing a CI Mid 7'6, beautiful board. However, I wanted something a bit shorter that could give me more control, without sacrificing too much paddle power. I went for the flow 6'8 (my shortest board ever) and I couldn't be happier. I was a bit worried when I got the board, but after trying it in different conditions I can tell it's the most fun surfboard I've ever had. I've tried it in very small 2-3 ft waves, and still, was able to have plenty of fun. Last weekend I had the chance to give it a go in chest high and head high waves, and absolutely loved it. Paddles great into the wave, very stable on the face and loads of control for turns (at least for someone like me that's coming from longer boards).

So if you are an average and occasional surfer like me, you want to have fun catching loads of waves and still having some good control for turns, I highly recommend this board.

7' 6 Flow Stik
After phoning around other surf shops, Ian at Boardshop came out head and shoulders above all of them with sound advice and board choice. The Flow Stik was already on my radar, and without me saying anything, Ian confirmed this was a contender for my needs. I took his advice (literally on board), and am so glad I did.
Boardshop also doubles as the kind of 'Tinder' of the surf world - matching you up perfectly with a board so you can fall in love with surfing all over again.
After placing my order for the 7' 6 TST EPS Flow Stik along with leash and fins etc., (great service from Matt too in that respect), my board arrived safely packaged and in perfect condition as you'd expect.
Of course the proof was in the riding. As a beginner wanting to progress, I could tell this thing was going to allow me to do exactly that. Catches waves with ease, nice and stable to pop up on and yet I can feel the response is there for the taking when I'm ready and able. Being epoxy it feels super light in comparison to a previous 7' 6 regular PU board I've ridden of similar volume. If you're a bit crap like me and want to get good then you need this board in your life - once it's in your life it'll be there to stay.
I can honestly say this board has now fed my obsession to get out and progress further, and I have the crew at Boardshop to thank for that… cheers once again! 10/10.

Midlength Fun
'Bit the bullet' and purchesed the 7'6" flow as a midlength/ minimal fun board. Ditched the shortboard cred at the water line.. But, when in the line up.. catches waves like a pro, paddling out is not bad (you can cheat duck dive ), and it turns really well. You can aim for a section and hit it! Horses for coarses, but if you want to have a blast while others are just sat there.. I would pick one of these up. Cheers.

7 foot flow stick
Like lots of people on here before me they made the call for advice, they were not disappointed and neither was I.
I had some extra timber added to my middle area and I believed the boards I had weren't doing me any favours and was finding myself getting frustrated, I called and spoke to Matt, he listened and without hesitation sent me three boards to consider.
I called and spoke to Matt again and cut the choice down to two, after listening and taking it all in decided on the flow stick, I have never spent this much on a surfboard and was really nervous.
Managed to get in the water at the weekend and my first wave got up and landed it well, the only thing that let me down was my inexperience at reading the waves, otherwise what a sesh, I had the biggest smile on my face.. and still do today haha.
Cant recommend these guys enough on advice and their expertise, the board was ordered on Friday and delivered, securely on Monday.
Massive thank you guys..

Perfect south coast wave grabber
I traded in my 5'9 chumlee for a 6'8 flowstik as I was getting increasingly frustrated at my lack of paddling fitness and resulting low wave count. Was after something that would work well with the slow waves on the south coast, but didn't want to sacrifice too much manoeuvrability or have to carry around a 9ft log. Taken the board out once so far in waist high clean swell at the Witterings and it was perfect. Easy paddling, early entry, planes along the wave, nice and stable, but still retains enough movement to carve around and keep things fun. Wasn't quite outpacing the longboarders, but sitting just slightly inside I had a comparable wave count.

Will reserve full judgement till I've had chance to try it out in bigger / punchier conditions, but so far ticks the boxes I need it to - and I've still got a 5'8 Evo that I can pull out if I want something more lively. Currently running it with a keel quad setup which seems to work, but will try a few different combos.

Love my Flowstick
I wanted to step down from my 9'6" In the Pink Takayama but HOPED not to forfeit what I loved about my longboard--speed in the water, wave catching ability, confidence... I wanted more manoeuvrability on the wave and to just toss a board in the back of the car and go, or walk down a beach in a howling wind and not fly away. First, I stepped down too far with a 6'4" Greedy Beaver. I get why that board would be fun, but it just didn't work for me. I'm 5'10" and 120 lbs and that board felt like it would just float out from beneath me. I wondered if stepping down at all was a good decision or do I just stick with being a long boarder. Luckily, Boardshop was super cool about upholding their Ride Out policy and I traded that in for the 7'6" Flowstick (with the black rails.) I've taken it out twice now in Wales, typical UK early winter surf, high winds, choppy, messy--and I LOVED IT. I could pop up on a messy wave and the board is always right there under my feet. I can't believe how stable it is and paddling feels just like my longboard. It's fast, it catches everything, and it's so easy to do a bottom turn. Now I feel ready to really improve in my wave carving. I feel really attached to the board, physically when I'm out in the surf. Very easy to turtle roll. And though I haven't exactly knocked the board around yet I can tell it's tough. It really is a use-everyday board. Can't recommend it enough either as a first board or something to use to match every wave you might face, especially in the UK.

Form Flowstik 7.0 55L
I bought this to replace my Longboard as I wanted something that still caught gutless waves we have but I could chuck around a little more. Haven't ridden her yet but the craftsmanship on this board is superb. Real nice thick glass finish that feels super strong, lots of volume where it should be for fast easy paddling...can't wait to try it. Can't fault the Global board bag either... super simple, good value but superb quality! Delivered quickly and very well protected, no chance of any damage en route.
