Description

The stunning Form Flow Stik surfboard in the brilliant TST (Torsion Shock Tech) construction. The versatile Flow Stik is taking the mid-length marketplace by storm and has rocketed into our top 5 selling surfboards on reputation alone.

Just as happy cruising ankle snappers as it is carving sizeable swells, the Flow Stik is a very responsive board with a curvy outline, lower rocker and gentle vees that transition into subtle spiral concaves out through the fins for exceptional hold and forgiveness through the rail, especially at lower speeds.

This beautiful board paddles as well as it surfs and seems to levitate whether you're on your feet or digging deep to out-paddle the mob. The Flow Stik is the ultimate freesurfing machine, a greedy wave catcher that you can surf from out-back to the beach.

Alan Stokes says: "For me, the flow stick is about connectivity to the wave. Not so much up and down surfing but fluid rail to rail surfing with continuous lines. Just linking everything together in a non stop movement from start to finish of the wave. Don’t get me wrong I can fully surf it off the tail but that rail line just makes you want to grind the rails through swooping cutbacks and off the tops with continuous movement and speed. It's an awesome feeling to stay high up on the wave and just glide through turns whenever you want to wash off speed".

If you're looking for an effortless surfboard that catches everything you paddle for and can still flow from rail to rail....you've found your dream surfboard in the Flow Stick. Get it sized right and you'll become inseparable whether its 1ft or 8ft the board is unflappable.

Form's TST construction surfboards are roughly 10% lighter than a stock PU built board and deliver a 20% increase in tensile strength and a staggering 50% increase in it's resistance to compression dents etc. This kind of strength is often associated with rigid and characterless epoxy surfboards which 'chatter' on the wave; TST is nothing like that and while it is a fraction stiffer than regular PU it still has lively and responsive flex pattern that'll last for the lifespan of the board! TST is a brilliant option if you're 'heavy' on your boards and offers the perfect construction for a travel board that has to run the gauntlet of notoriously clumsy baggage handlers!

Form Surfboards is a collaboration involving 3 different parties. The guys here at Boardshop were super keen to offer a premium UK handmade surfboard brand with an emphasis on quality utilising premium quality materials. Alan 'Stokesy' Stokes (probably the most successful and well known surfer in the UK) working alongside genius British shaper Luke Hart (the man behind 4th surfboards) have teamed up to produce an incredible collection of surfboards with something for every level of surfer and any conditions.

This project is hugely exciting for all involved and we think the guys have absolutely nailed it, producing some of the coolest looking, well priced, UK hand-made and premium finish shortboards, hybrids and mid-lengths available today.

If we don't have the Form surfboard you're looking for, or the stock dims don't work for you, just give us a ring on (44) 01243 674250 or email [email protected] and we'll happily discuss a custom order for you.

The team at Boardshop are absolutely stoked to be stocking these beautiful boards and would happily consider taking your old or unwanted surfboard as a trade-in against a new Form shape.

The best mid length
This is the second of these I've bought (my kids stole the first) and they are truly the one board quiver. I have a Flow Stik Pro for the better days, but rarely use it, as this will cover just about everything I surf. I've tried a few mid lengths on offer, and if you want a really good mid length, with some stability and still with performance - go for this.

Add to that the fab service from BSUK team, and it is all great value.

Bought one...came back for another
I'd seen a Flow Stik a few years back, and loved the look of them. So, in spite of living in Sydney, I bought one and had it shipped. We - me and all the kids loved it, ideal in our surf here which ranges from 2-5' The only problem was, the kids really did nick it, and after a few weeks I never saw it again. I tried another couple of mid lengths, but never really found something I loved as much.

So, in the end I got another one shipped over this time with my name on it. If you want the one-quiver board, then the Flow Stik is the realisation of that. Absolutely brilliant board. Thanks for the service as well, not easy shipping a board(s) all the way around the world and it turns up in perfect condition. Great job guys.

Wow
I'd given up on my old 6'4" quad fish, feeling like I'd slipped beyond the point of no return with age (wrong side of 50) and fitness, and resigned myself to gentle turns and a bit of nose riding on my 9'6" longboard. But looking at the boardshop site tempted me back for one last fling with something shorter (I also wanted a board that my teenage son could enjoy). A few emails and a chat with Frazer pointed me to the 6'6" Flow Stik, which was not what I had been looking at! I went for the TST EPS construction as wanted something a little tougher. I was a little nervous on first trip (to Polzeath), wondering if it would actually have significantly more wave-catching ability than my old quad fish. I needn't have worried - was getting waves with the best of them, even with fairly poor surf conditions. It really flies and turns nicely, and I feel like I'm finally on an upwards learning curve again. The only problem was fighting my son for goes on it! Thank you to Frazer and the team.

Glow with the Flow
After a lot of consideration and advice from the Boardshop team, I went with a 7'2 Form Flow Stik as something to progress on, catch more waves and ultimately have more fun. It's fair to say the Flow Stik delivers on all fronts. It's an easy paddle, catches waves early, sooooo fast, super agile but not unstable. 4-5ft seems to be the sweet spot and it just comes alive, but you can still have a lot of fun in 2ft slop. Just wish I'd got one sooner. If you want to catch more, smile more and learn more, don't hesitate.

Love it!
Awesome board. Perfect for summer swell, or smaller days. Nice and stable and very forgiving. Picks up pretty much anything you paddle for and nice long rides all the way in. Easy to move around the board to adjust your feet, without massively stalling, nose diving, etc. Turns well for a bigger board (I got the 7'2" @ 82kg) and can just about duck dive it. I've only been out a few times with it, so cant comment on performance in bigger swell yet.

6'4 tst, it's beautiful!
Hard to say anything that hasn't already been said.
A beautiful board. Light (especially in epoxy) easy to paddle and forgiving with a large sweet spot. Board glides into waves early, stable for the pop up and turns easily. The tst construction feels responsive with good flex. Super smooth to ride, no chattering and glides rail to rail. I'm sure a better surfer could stomp on the tail and get this board vertical but it just makes you want to draw out your turns and flow.
Only had been out in 2-4ft so far but would love to push this board in some better waves as it fills you with confidence and makes you feel better than you are!

Just buy it!
Been thinking about buying a flow stik for about a year now but was never sure about it. I've just got back from my first surf and can safely say that if you're in my position you should just go ahead and buy it. Was after a 6'6 but based on the advice by Matt (thank you by the way!) I went for 6'4 flow stik and I'm so glad I did. Took a couple of waves to get used to the board but once it clicked I was in love. Quick and responsive but never out of control, easy wave entry and it almost felt like it knew what I wanted to do next! I'm a very average surfer but felt like Alan Stokes on this board, can't wait for more sessions!

It moves
A lovely looking board, superb quality, nice and light. Moved to this from an 8ft foamie, took a bit of getting used to and less stable first time out but after 3 sessions I’m loving it. Catches waves well, easy to move around and goes quick. I’m late 40’s 81kg 6ft1 and just getting back to surfing after a very long break - feels like this board will be just what I need for a long time.

Lovely and light!
My first new board having ridden an 8ft mini mal that last 15 years. Initially felt a bit wobbly getting to my feet but it seems to glide as well as my mini mal, is loads lighter, and is just way more fun. It’s helping me learn to commit to each pop up and is solid- also the front rocker seems to really help as haven’t nose dived yet. I surf in Brighton and shoreham and it seems ideal for all but the 1 footer days. Very impressed so far after four surfs in a week with two great 10 second rides yesterday at new beach.

So much fun
As a beginner coming off a foamie I initially bought a 6'6 fish but found it too hard to catch unbroken waves and progress quickly. So the guys recommended this board. They were right! It catches waves really easily, is super fast, stable on drops and yet still turns easily. Perfect for my level and progression.
