Tomo surfboards is the brainchild of Daniel Thomson, he’s been designing and shaping groundbreaking surfboards for decade and more. Some of his surfboard designs have reached iconic status, The Evo, The Vader, The Revo and more have been some of the best selling designs of all time.

Tomo’s partnership with Firewire highlighted the magic combination of Tomo’s designs and cutting edge board tech. The latest incarnation is Tomo’s hook up with Dark Arts bringing some of his classic designs right up to date with this incredible carbon construction. Creating Avant-Garde’ Designs has always been in Tomo’s DNA, his  quest to create the ultimate in performance functionality has lead him to experiment with a variety of nose and tail shapes as seen in the Evo, Vader and more when no one else was even thinking about this. His ongoing research has gravitated more and more toward rounded nose profiles as they provide the most freedom and most effortless surfing experience.

Tomo believes strongly that sharp pointed noses are unnecessarily dangerous and an outdated aesthetic with clear performance drawbacks.
